On Friday, 31 October 2025, Žofín Palace once again became a meeting place for ophthalmology professionals who came to share their experiences, case studies, and insights from clinical practice.

This year’s program offered a series of inspiring lectures and discussions. For the first time, the entire second session of the congress was dedicated to pediatric ophthalmology – a field that continues to gain importance. Among the experts participating in the discussion were Rudolf Autrata, Drahomíra Baráková, Petra Lišková, Gabriela Mišíková, Milan Odehnal, and Anna Zobanová.

A significant honor this year went to Assoc. Prof. Drahomíra Baráková, MD, PhD, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contribution to ophthalmology. The award for the best lecture of the festival, chosen by attendees, was presented to Zdeněk Kasl, MD, PhD, for his case study focused on eyelid surgery.
